As an Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapist, I offer a non-pathologizing, compassionate approach grounded in the belief that we are all doing our best, often with strategies that once kept us safe or met our needs. Collaboratively, we can explore whether those strategies still serve you and create space for new, empowered choices in how you relate to yourself and the world.
Therapy with me is relational, supportive and direct. It won’t always be comfortable AND you will be held with care and respect through it. As a mindfulness-based clinician, we will work together to increase your awareness, to expand choice, and build up strategies to move through discomfort.
My work focuses on helping you reclaim your agency with courage, soften into your experience (not resist it), and build a caring relationship with all parts of yourself. I consider it an honor to walk beside you and navigate whatever obstacles arise together, while expanding your capacity to feel, respond to, and live within your values.
I work to hold and consider various socio-cultural systemic influences, and continue to grow my own knowledge and understanding, as a white, genderqueer, middle-class, straight-sized, able body who is also a childfree millennial that grew up in, and away from a southern christian religious culture.
